Welcome to SMILHS – Exploring Digital Biology
We're building a platform to explore health and disease research through the computational simulation of synthetic, minimal organisms. Join us in investigating life's fundamental mechanisms and understanding genetic interactions within a digital environment.
Learn MoreOur Vision
SMILHS is dedicated to creating **Minimum Viable Prototypes (MVPs)** of living systems within a simulated environment. By digitally conceptualizing simplified organisms, we aim to model genetic changes and observe their potential downstream effects on cellular processes. Our goal is to develop an accessible platform for generating hypotheses about biological interactions and potential research avenues.
Our initial MVP explorations may focus on: Simulating basic genetic scenarios in a minimal, synthetic organism to observe their simulated impact on fundamental cellular processes.
Get Involved
The SMILHS project is currently in its early development stages. We believe in open collaboration and invite you to explore our progress.
We're actively seeking **volunteers** to help **review** our code, contribute to our discussions, and potentially **contribute** to the project. Your insights can help shape the future of SMILHS.
